Disney Wonder - Walt Disney Cruise Ship

Disney Wonder is the second Walt Disney cruise ship operated by Disney Cruise Line and was launched in 1999. The ship had its inaugral cruise from the Fincantieri shipyard in Italy, stopping in Southampton UK and arrived in Port Canaveral 2 weeks later. The Disney Wonder's Godmother is Tinkerbell.

Disney Wonder alternates between 3- and 4-night cruises. Visiting Nassau and Disney's own private island Castaway Cay, with the 4-night cruise offering an additional day at sea. From May 30 through August 22, 2010, "Disney Wonder" will sail on 5-night cruises alternating between an itinerary that adds an additional stop at Castaway Cay and an itinerary that adds a stop at Key West.

In October 2006, the Wonder Disney Cruise Ship went into dry dock for a general refurbishment and the addition of new features, many of which were introduced to Disney Magic in 2005.

A toddler pool was added that features interactive fountains and splash zones. A 24 by 14 ft (7.3 by 4.3 m) LED screen affixed to the forward funnel and overlooking the Goofy Pool offers Disney movies and television programs. The Vista Spa, as well as the meeting and conference facilities and the Quiet Cove adults-only pool, were renovated and expanded too. Like the other ship, Disney Magic, its horn also sounds the first seven notes of "When You Wish Upon A Star".

When the new Disney Dream begins its sailings out of Port Canaveral in 2011, Disney Wonder will be relocated to Los Angeles, California. The arrangement will be for two years, with a potential extension for three additional years. On September 11, 2009 Disney Cruise Line announced that the Wonder will have 18 and 7 night sailings to Alaska during the 2011 summer.
